KCER: KIDNEY COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE COALITION

The KCER Coalition provides free disaster preparedness education and tools for the kidney dialysis and transplant community. For the H1N1 (swine flu), End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) facilities and patients should follow guidance from their local ESRD Network, and general precautions issued from the CDC and local government agencies. The CMS Conditions for Coverage require that all facilities have a plan in place for emergencies including pandemic influenza.
